Siquijor
Everyone arrives by boat, at one of two ports on opposite sides of the island: Siquijor town port, the short fast-craft hop from Dumaguete, and Larena, the terminus for the longer boats from Cebu and Bohol. A single paved road rings the coast, so once ashore most visitors rent their own scooter and do the loop themselves; those who don't hire a tricycle for the ride to San Juan or a multicab shared with other arriving passengers. The island also has its own small airport with a Cebu link. Coast Guard Station Siquijor and individual operators suspend sailings on short notice for rough seas, typhoons and Holy Week, most heavily during the Habagat months.

12 ways of moving, each with its rule
We confirmed eleven ways of moving to, from or around Siquijor: six by water, two by road, one by air, one hired or on demand and one under your own steam, from 21 sources. One entry is not a service at all but a rule that decides whether travel happens: a permit, a closure, a border, a season or an authority's say-so. Three of them run only on demand or when the seats are full, so there is no timetable to show; the rule is written where the timetable would be.
The fares were seen in 2026; a fare from an older year is a floor, not a price. Three fares carry no year, because they could not be confirmed and the field says so. We rate 8 of the 12 high confidence, our own judgement of the sources. The entry was checked on 28 September 2026, and ends with seven things we could not confirm.

What we could not find out
7 things the researcher looked for and did not find, in their own words, with where to ask instead. None of this goes into the planner; it stays here until someone confirms it.
- 01
The exact boat fare and duration from Siquijor to Apo Island and Sumilon could not be confirmed from a fetched source; ask directly at a dive shop in San Juan or Larena.
- 02
A dedicated habal-habal (hired motorbike-taxi) service, distinct from self-drive scooter rental, could not be separately confirmed from a fetched source for Siquijor specifically; travellers report negotiating a tricycle driver as a private day-tour instead.
- 03
travelaroundthephilippines.com's 2026 guide states Siquijor's airport 'is planned to be expanded to receive commercial flights, since for now only charter flights land', but Sunlight Air's own site lists Siquijor (IQR) as a bookable scheduled destination alongside Cebu, Coron, Boracay and Siargao as of September 2026 - trusting the operator's own booking page over the blog on this point.
- 04
Exact current Sunlight Air Cebu-Siquijor fare could not be confirmed from a fetched fare table; the airline's booking flow requires picking specific dates rather than publishing a static price.
- 05
Circumferential road distance for a full island loop was not confirmed from a fetched source; Wikivoyage only says there is a paved road running around the coast.
- 06
Multi-day and weekly scooter rates were not published in either source checked; ask the stand directly, since the daily rate is the only figure confirmed.
- 07
Starlite Ferries also sails Cebu City to Larena according to pamasahe.com's sitemap listing, but no schedule or fare page for that specific operator route was fetched to confirm current figures.
What the planner can route today
The options above live on the place page, not in the departure board: a boat that comes when you phone has no time to show. What the board can do for Siquijor is this.
