Yancheng
Yancheng, formerly known as Yandu, is a prefecture-level city in the eastern coastal Jiangsu province, People's Republic of China.
As the city with the largest jurisdictional area in Jiangsu, Yancheng borders Lianyungang to the north, Huai'an to the west, Yangzhou and Taizhou to the southwest, Nantong to the south, and the Yellow Sea to the east. Formerly a county, the current Yancheng city was founded on January 18, 1983.

Birdwatching: Yancheng is renowned for its birdwatching opportunities, especially at the Yancheng National Rare Birds Nature Reserve. The winter season is the best time to see the red-crowned cranes, along with other migratory birds. The coast of Yancheng Prefecture has been listed as a natural world heritage site under the name "Migratory Bird Sanctuaries along the Coast of Yellow Sea-Bohai Gulf of China".
Where to eat
Saltwater Duck: A local specialty, this dish is prepared by marinating duck in a saltwater brine before roasting, resulting in tender, flavorful meat. It is a must-try for visitors to Yancheng. Dafeng Crab: Yancheng’s coastal location makes it a great place for seafood. The crabs from the Dafeng area are particularly prized for their sweet, delicate flavor.
