It had a population of 57,866 at the 2017 census. This makes it the fourth most populous municipality in the country. Situated 19 kilometers from the Fijian capital Suva, it forms one pole of the burgeoning Suva-Nausori corridor. Nausori is home to three provinces Rewa, Tailevu and Naitasiri.

Worth seeing
Places to visit include Korovou town, Naq Kuti Mandir (temple), Bau Beach, crossing the new EU-funded Rewa Bridge, and the historic Naililili Cathedral. A rich Fijian tradition integrated with the colorful beauty of Hinduism flourishes in Nausori and gives it all the warmth which resonates throughout Fiji. The best thing about Nausori is its natural beauty and relaxing atmosphere.
