
Digha
Digha is a seaside resort town located in the Purba Medinipur district in the state of West Bengal, India.
Situated at the northern end of the Bay of Bengal, it is a popular coastal tourist destination known for its low gradient and shallow sand beaches.
Getting to Digha
There are three bus stands in Digha:

The main one.

- 03SBSTC Bus Stand
There are frequent bus services to Digha from Kolkata, including Esplanade, Baruipur, Garia and Joka.
- 04Digha SE
A small terminus with three platforms, and a part of the South Eastern Line of the Kolkata Suburban Railway.
Worth seeing
The main attraction of Digha is of course, the beaches in and around the town. Except Shankarpur and Talasari, all other beaches are easily accessible from the hotels in Old Digha and New Digha. Some Digha tourists even explore the beaches afield, which are listed at #Go next.

Ratha Yatra (রথযাত্রা Rothojātrā, literally "Chariot Journey") is Digha's main religious festival.

A park developed in 2015 with the iconic "Biswa Bangla" (World Bengal) globe.

A large seaside space with activities like boating and bungee jumping.
- 05Kajal Dighi
A pond with toy train (miniature railway) rides.
Where to eat
The famous 'Hinger Kochuri' is a famous breakfast of Digha. There are many stalls and sweet shops all over Digha which offers this delicious breakfast. There are many cheap "rice hotels" all over Digha, serving cheap, but good quality Bengali dishes. There are some more expensive restaurants where continental food is available.
