
Aguascalientes
Aguascalientes, officially the Free and Sovereign State of Aguascalientes, is one of the 32 states which comprise the federated entities of Mexico.
At 22°N and with an average altitude of 1,950 m (6,400 ft) above sea level it is predominantly of semi-arid climate. The state is located in the northern part of the Bajío region, which is in the north-central part of the country, bordered by Zacatecas to the north, east and west, and by Jalisco to the south.

San Marcos Fair (Feria Nacional de San Marcos). From around mid-April to early May annually. The oldest and largest state fair in Mexico. One of the largest fairs in Mexico, attracting millions of visitors for the Casino, the bullfighting, cockfighting and nightlife.

Getting around Aguascalientes the local way
- Get aroundPabellon de Hidalgo is a very small town and is easily navigated by walking, though you may want a bike or moto-taxi to get to the presa (lake).
- Get aroundThe vineyards are outside of the town so if you want to do winery visits you'll want to hire a taxi or moto-taxi.
