
Woolloomooloo
Woolloomooloo is a harbourside, inner-city eastern suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 1.5 km (0.93 mi) east of the central business district, in the local government area of the City of Sydney.
It is in a low-lying, former docklands area at the head of Woolloomooloo Bay, on Sydney Harbour. The Domain sits to the west, the locality of East Sydney is near the south-west corner of the suburb and the locality of Kings Cross is near the south-east corner. Potts Point is immediately to the east.
Getting to Woolloomooloo
Trains and a maze of bus routes run through the area. From the city, it's often possible to walk to where you want to be. Parking is restricted nearly all the time on any day of the week, although cruising around the back streets is an option if the parking fairy is smiling upon you. Kings Cross can be accessed by bus or train to Kings Cross Station, which is on Darlinghurst Road.

Getting around Woolloomooloo the local way
- Get inCircular Quay has the Opera House, Ferries, Harbour Foreshore and the Botanic Gardens.
- Get inThere is also a direct link to Barangaroo via the train station, which has a ferry wharf for ferries to Parramatta, North Sydney, and a more circuitous but scenic route to Circular Quay.
- Get inCircular Quay is underneath the railway station and close to the ferry terminal.
- Get inThe most pleasant way to arrive in Sydney city centre, or to get out and see the Sydney harbour or north shore, is by ferry.
- Get inMost ferry routes (from 41 wharves around the Sydney harbour suburbs) start or finish at Circular Quay, at the northern end of the CBD.
- Get inFrom here you can take a ferry to Manly or Watsons Bay to the east or Parramatta to the west, all for far cheaper than taking a private tour.
- Get inThere is a train station and bus terminus right next to the ferry terminal at Circular Quay for connections to other parts of the city.
