Weston Creek
Weston Creek is a district in the Australian Capital Territory in Australia.
The district is subdivided into divisions (suburbs), sections, and blocks. The district comprises eight residential suburbs, situated to the west of the Woden Valley district and approximately 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) southwest of the Canberra City centre. Situated adjacent to the district was the large Stromlo Forest pine plantation until the forest was destroyed by bushfires in 2001 and 2003.
Getting to Weston Creek
All three districts are well connected by road: there is a freeway that runs through the centre of the three districts, also making it convenient to get around. If you are coming from Tuggeranong, use the unnumbered Drakeford Drive up northwest, and the continue on Tuggeranong Parkway once the freeway grade road begins.

Worth seeing
The National Arboretum opened in February 2013 as part of the celebrations of Canberra's centenary. While the plants still need a bit more time to grow, the site has good views over Lake Burley Griffin. If you need to contact the arboretum, try emailing arboretum@act.gov.au or calling.
