West Bridgford
West Bridgford is a town and the administrative centre of the borough of Rushcliffe, in the county of Nottinghamshire, England.
It lies south of Nottingham city centre, east of Wilford, north of Ruddington and west of Radcliffe-on-Trent; it is also south-west of Colwick and south-east of Beeston, which are on the opposite bank of the River Trent. The town is part of the Nottingham Urban Area and has an estimated population of 37,181 as of 2024.

Visitors with Hollywood expectations of Robin Hood films should be aware that this is not a medieval castle, but a small stately home with only the gatehouse remaining from the original castle.

Off Maid Marian Way, it is one of various pubs claiming to be the oldest pub in Britain, the "Trip" traces its existence back over 800 years.

Where to eat
Nottingham also has the usual range of chain restaurants and bars that you can find in many cities across the UK. For a budget meal (and drink), JD Wetherspoons is always worth trying. There are also some budget restaurants along Mansfield Road not far from the Victoria Shopping Centre. There is a pedestrianised street full of eateries of varying quality next to the Cornerhouse.
