Villavicencio
Villavicencio is a city and municipality in Colombia.
The capital of Meta Department, it was founded on April 6, 1840. The municipality had a population of 531,275 in 2018. The city is located at 4°08'N, 73°40'W, 75 km southeast of the Colombian capital city of Bogotá (DC) by the Guatiquía River. It is the most important commercial center in the Llanos Orientales of Colombia.
Getting to Villavicencio
Buses depart frequently from the Terminal Salitre in Bogotá. A ticket costs COP$27,000-40,000 (July 2021). COP$45000-60000 ( July 2023 ) The travel time is 3-4 hours, but traffic jams in Bogota can increase it. Many bus operators covers this route.

Things to do
Dancing:There is a town called "7 de Agosto", famous for the variety of dancing clubs along its main street. Also, the club "Capachos" known to be one of the best dancing clubs for people in their 20s to late 30s.

Along the Calle 15 in the west of the intercity bus station "Terminal de Transporte" there is street-food in the evening.
