Vantaa

Vantaa is a city in Finland.

It is located to the north of the capital, Helsinki, in southern Uusimaa. The population of Vantaa is approximately 253,000. It is the 4th most populous municipality in Finland. Vantaa is part of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, which has approximately 1.6 million inhabitants.

The city is indeed accessible by air, as Finland's main airport is in Vantaa:

Getting around Vantaa the local way

  • Get inA few European roads lead to Helsinki: E12 leads from Norway's coast through Vaasa (following the Blue Highway at that leg); E18 comes in from Stockholm in the west and from Saint Petersburg in the east; E67 (Via Baltica) ends in Tallinn, with several car ferries to Helsinki; E75 comes in from northern Norway and continues south-west by a non-existent ferry connection.
