Tanza
Tanza, officially the Municipality of Tanza, is a municipality in the province of Cavite, Philippines.
According to the 2024 census, it has a population of 339,308 people. It has a land area of 95.59 square kilometers (36.91 sq mi), making it the third largest municipality by land area in the province.
Getting to Tanza
Antero Soriano Highway passes through the southern outskirts of downtown Tanza. It is also the terminus of a road running directly north from Tagaytay, passing through Mendez, Indang and the provincial capital, Trece Martires. Both roads converge at the junction next to SM Tanza.

One of a few surviving friar estate houses from the Spanish era.
Things to do
Lohitor Festival. February 27 or 28. The town's annual festival, coinciding with the anniversary of its foundation and named after a portmanteau of three items associated with Tanza made with paper mache: Lobo (balloon), Higante (giant), and Toro (bull).
Where to eat
A local delicacy in town is pancit estacion, a noodle dish featuring mung bean sprouts.

Getting around Tanza the local way
- Get inBuses bound for Ternate from Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) and Lawton in Metro Manila ply Antero Soriano Highway, from where transfers to Tanza proper via jeepneys and tricycles can be made, usually at the junction next to SM Tanza.
- Get inAn alternate mode of transport is through the baby buses, minibuses and jeepneys that ply the Bacoor-Naic route along Antero Soriano Highway and the jeepneys along Tanza-Trece Martires Road.
- Get aroundTricycles are the most convenient form of public transportation within downtown Tanza and if heading to the coast, while jeepneys connect downtown Tanza with the southern barangays leading to Trece Martires, as well as the western barangays leading to Naic.
