
Tai'an
Tai'an is a prefecture-level city in Western Shandong Province of the People's Republic of China.
Centered on Mount Tai, the city borders the provincial capital of Jinan to the north, Zibo to the east, Linyi to the southeast, Liaocheng to the extreme west and Jining to the south. To the west, Tai'an is separated from the province of Henan by the Yellow River.
Getting to Tai'an
Booking a train is not an easy job for non-Chinese speakers. Online ticket agency might provide English interfaces but cost an extra. For Chinese speakers, online booking is the easiest way. Tickets can be paid online using Union Pay, Ali-pay or VISA card, at no additional fee. Otherwise, speaking to the ticket office at the station usually means a really long queue.

- 01Culai Mountain
Culai Mountain, also known as Longlai Mountain or Tuolai Mountain, is the sister mountain of Mount Tai.

Getting around Tai'an the local way
- Get inA cable car is available for the remainder of the distance to the top.
- Get inThe cable car is open between 6:30AM-5:30PM, although unpublished it may be open longer during peak times.
- Go nextThe same options available up the mountain (bus-cable car or hiking paths) are available for the trip down the mountain.
- Go nextThe cable car closes at 5:30PM, well before sunset.
- Go nextThe cable car also closes when there is thunder in the area, so it is vitally important to check the weather report beforehand.
