Not yet confirmed: Suryanelli is not on the Top Station road. Top Station is reached from Munnar via Mattupetty and Kundala; Suryanelli sits on the Munnar – Devikulam – Chinnakanal – Gap Road corridor towards Bodinayakanur. Wikivoyage's note about shared autos to Mattupetty and Top Station, and a ₹400 jeep to Top Station, applies to that other road, not to Suryanelli.; No verifiable timetable found for buses or share jeeps between Suryanelli and Bodinayakanur or Theni on the Tamil Nadu side, only the practice of getting off at Power House. Ask at the Power House junction tea shops or at Bodinayakanur bus stand.; The ₹46 Munnar–Suryanelli fare is from 2023 and KSRTC has revised ordinary fares since; treat it as a floor.; Share-jeep departure points inside Munnar town could not be pinned to a named stand. Ask at the Munnar town bus stand and at the Old Munnar junction.; No per-seat price is published anywhere for a shared Kolukkumalai jeep. One operator confirms sharing jeeps wait at the Suryanelli stand but names no rate; a per-head figure of ₹700–₹1,000 previously carried here had no source and has been dropped. Ask at the stand the evening before.; cabbazar.com only serves its fare table over HTTP/1.1 with a browser user agent; over HTTP/2 it returns a Cloudflare challenge. A lower bound of ₹1,500 previously attributed to aggregators appears nowhere on the page and has been dropped.; Nothing found on hitching customs here, though estate and tea-factory vehicles use the Kolukkumalai track daily.; Whether the Kolukkumalai track requires an estate or forest permit for non-package visitors is not documented on any operator page found..
The field note on Suryanelli reads this entry in full, one option at a time, with every source beside it.
