Getting to Quillacollo
Visitors will most likely arrive from the city of Cochabamba, which is 13 km away. Many "trufis" and buses leave from Cochabamba and take 20 minutes. You can catch trufis from the corner of Heroinas and Ayacucho.
Worth seeing
The Fiesta of Urkupiña is a religious festival held on August 14-16 with each day dedicated to a different activity, such as the "entrada" or folkloric parade, fiesta, and trip to the Calvario.
Things to do
Hot springs. There is a nice hot spring near Cochabamba. Travel time one way is around 1½ hours from Cochabamba, mostly due to roundabout trufi routes. To get there, take a trufi from the southeast corner of Plaza Sucre, near the University, to Quillacollo, 12 or so km to the west. From Quillacollo, get off at the main plaza, Plaza Bolivar, and walk one block west to Calle Santa Cruz.
