Pandamaran

Pandamaran is a town and a state constituency in Klang District, Selangor, Malaysia.

It is adjacent to Port Klang and close to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital as well as Bandar Bukit Tinggi.

Pandamaran is essentially a Chinese New Village area, it is served by excellent road connections and is one of the major industrial zones in the royal town of Klang.

Getting around Pandamaran the local way

  • Get inThe railway station is located just outside the port area across the road from the ferry terminal.
  • Get inThe ferry terminal - with the grand official name Passenger Cruise Terminal - is located in the port area where the Federal Highway (which is a two-lane city road at this point) meets the sea.
  • Get inThere are no domestic ferry services (except for boats to nearby Pulau Ketam).
  • Get inFerries leave for Dumai in Riau province and Tanjung Balai Asahan in North Sumatra province, both on Sumatra, Indonesia.

  • Get aroundWalk to get from the ferry terminal to the railway station and bus and taxi terminal.
  • Go nextThe entire village is built on stilts and makes for an interesting day trip.
  • Go nextAbout 15 ferries per day (RM7 one way, 45 min, the last boat from the island leaves at 5.30PM on weekdays and at 6PM on weekends and holidays) run from the Pulau Ketam jetty beside (and not inside) the Passenger Cruise Terminal.
