Malvern East is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 12 km south-east of the Melbourne central business district, located within the City of Stonnington local government area.
Malvern East recorded a population of 22,296 at the 2021 census.
Getting to Malvern East
Stonnington lies just south-east of the CBD and can be easily reached by car, tram and suburban train. Tram 58 runs along Swanston Street in the CBD to South Yarra and Toorak along Domain Road and then Toorak Road, terminating at the junction of Toorak and Glenferrie Roads. From the CBD, South Yarra is about 15 to 20 minutes away. Toorak is another 5 to 10 minutes away.
