Linyi

Linyi is a prefecture-level city in the south of Shandong province, China.

As of 2011, Linyi is the largest prefecture-level city in Shandong, both by area and population, Linyi borders Rizhao to the east, Weifang to the northeast, Zibo to the north, Tai'an to the northwest, Jining to the west, Zaozhuang to the southwest, and the province of Jiangsu to the south. The name of the city Linyi (临沂) literally means "close to the Yi River".

Getting to Linyi

Linyi Qiyang Airport is in Heodong District, approximately 7.8 km from Lini City District. It is relatively easy to get to Linyi by air with multiple flights daily coming in from Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing. At the airport you can take a taxi into the city; the local drivers will try to bargain. Your best bet is to point to the meter and pretend you don't know any Chinese.

Fried chicken in Linyi (临沂炒鸡). Mainly selected from the local loose-cultivated grass chicken, with a selection of spices, using the traditional farm fried chicken method to make,It's about US$17. Junan Donkey Meat (莒南驴肉) is a traditional local food in Junan Count. It's about US$15. Big store cold powder (大店凉粉) has a history of more than 300 years.
