Laz
Ethnic group from the South Caucasus

Laz

The Laz people, or Lazi, are a Kartvelian ethnic group native to the South Caucasus, who mainly live in Black Sea coastal regions of Turkey and Georgia.

They traditionally speak the Laz language but have been subjected to a process of deliberate Turkification under the lengthy Turkish rule.
