
Koshigaya
Koshigaya is a city located in Saitama Prefecture, Japan.
As of 1 January 2021, the city had an estimated population of 345,353 in 158,022 households and a population density of 5700 persons per km2. The total area of the city is 60.24 square kilometres (23.26 sq mi). It is famous for producing daruma dolls.
Getting to Koshigaya
Koshigaya (越谷) is accessible on the Tobu Skytree line from Ueno or the Musashino line from Tokyo/Funabashi.
Worth seeing
In April, the river near Kita Koshigaya station is lined with blossoming sakura (cherry blossom) trees. A walk of about 1 km will bring you to a park that has been filled with the beautiful flowering trees.
Where to eat
McDonald's and Yoshinoya are right near the train station, as well as several other restaurants and vendor booths.
