Kayamkulam
Kayamkulam is a municipality in the Alappuzha district of Kerala, India.
It is located 45 km (28.0 mi) south of the district headquarters in Alappuzha and about 107 km (66.5 mi) north of the state capital Thiruvananthapuram. As per the 2011 Indian census, Kayamkulam has a population of 68,634 people, and a population density of 3,149/km2 (8,160/sq mi).
Getting to Kayamkulam
100 km from Trivandrum International Airport, on National Highway 47. 130 km from Cochin International Airport, Nedumbassery, Alwaye, on National Highway 47. Kayamkulam Railway Junction is 1.5 km from the town. Trains from the North from Ernakulam via Kottayam, and from Ernakulam via Alappuzha pass through Kayamkulam Junction and then proceed to Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram and further to Nagercoil and Kanyakumari.
