Kalisz
Kalisz is a city in central Poland, and the second-largest city in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, with 97,905 residents.
It is the capital city of the Kalisz Land. Situated on the Prosna river in the southeastern part of Greater Poland, the city forms a conurbation with the nearby towns of Ostrów Wielkopolski and Nowe Skalmierzyce.
Getting to Kalisz
Kalisz is almost equally distant (120 km) from 3 airports: Poznań-Ławica, Wrocław and Łódź, travel time to each of them is appr. 2 hours. But - taking into account a very small number of connections from Łódź, use airport in Poznań or in Wrocław. Kalisz is not a railway hub. One line passes through: from Ostrów Wielkopolski to Łódź.
