Jordaan

The Jordaan is a neighbourhood of the city of Amsterdam, Netherlands.

It is part of the borough of Amsterdam-Centrum. The area is bordered by the Singelgracht canal and the neighbourhood of Frederik Hendrikbuurt to the west; the Prinsengracht to the east; the Brouwersgracht to the north and the Leidsegracht to the south. The former canal Rozengracht is the main traffic artery through the neighbourhood.

Getting to Jordaan

The tram is the easiest way to get around central Amsterdam, and the Jordaan is no exception. From Amsterdam Centraal, Tram 13 and Tram 17 bring you to the stop Westermarkt at the beginning of the Jordaan-district. Tram 17 continues a few stops further to Elandsgracht at the west side of the district.
