
Ji'an
Ji'an is a prefecture-level city situated in the central region of Jiangxi province of the People's Republic of China and bordering Hunan province to the west.
It has an area of 25,219 km2 (9,737 sq mi) and as of the 2020 census, had a population of 4,469,176, of whom 643,399 live in the built-up area made of 2 urban districts. Ji'an lies next to the Luoxiao Mountains (罗霄山脉) with the Gan River running through the middle of the city. Local dialects include a form of Gan Chinese as well as Hakka Chinese.
Getting to Ji'an
Tonghua Sanyuanpu Airport is a regional airport that hosts direct flights from cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Qingdao. It is 100 kilometers from Ji'an City. Transportation from the Airport to Ji'an: Take the airport shuttle bus to Tonghua Bus Station, then transfer to a long-distance bus to Ji'an (approximately 2 hours).

Where to eat
Ji'an cuisine is mainly Northeastern home-style cooking, characterized by generous portions and strong flavors. Korean hot pot: Korean Hot Pot is a very representative hot dish in Ji'an, its name originating from the Goguryeo culture. It's typically heated over charcoal or an alcohol stove, with sliced meat, vegetables, and bean products placed in the pot, and eaten while still heating.
