Headingley
Headingley is a suburb of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, approximately two miles out of the city centre, to the north west along the A660 road.
Headingley is the location of the Beckett Park campus of Leeds Beckett University and Headingley Stadium.
Getting to Headingley
For Headingley jump on a train or bus from Leeds, there is a 1, 6, 28, 95 or 97 bus every few minutes and Headingley has its own train station. The bus journey takes less than 10 minutes either way, though in rush hour buses can take up to 40 minutes. The station is a short walk from Headingley centre but the train journey is very short (under 10 min).

World famous, is a must for Cricket and Rugby (both codes - League and Union) fans.

Things to do
North West Leeds is excellent as access to the Yorkshire dales. Travelling up Otley Road will take you into the countryside and towards the Wharfedale town of Otley. Otley and Ilkley are pleasant places to visit on a Sunday afternoon. Horsforth is a vibrant area with loads of good restaurants, bars and pubs. Further towards Leeds City Centre there is a lot of activity too.

Where to eat
There are several restaurants, take aways and fast food outlets along Headingley Lane. There are also a few on New Road Side in Horsforth and on Horsforth Town Street. Hyde Park Corner hosts a few smaller businesses. Obviously as Otley and Ilkley are large towns there are a large number of eateries in their area.

Getting around Headingley the local way
- Get inFerries sail overnight from Rotterdam (Netherlands) to Kingston upon Hull.
- Get inHull is an hour by train or car from Leeds, and the ferry port is 3 miles east of Hull city centre: buses run from there to the railway station.
- Go nextLeeds is a major transport hub, so many outlying attractions can be done as day trips.
