Freckleton

Freckleton is a village and civil parish on the Fylde coast in Lancashire, England, to the south of Kirkham and east of the seaside resort of Lytham St.

Annes. In 2001 the parish had a population of 6,045, reducing to 6,019 at the 2011 Census. The village is near Warton, with its links to BAE Systems. Warton Aerodrome's 1.5 miles (2.4 km) runway is partly within Freckleton's boundary. Freckleton has a parish council, and is part of Fylde Borough, and Fylde constituency.

Getting to Freckleton

Wrea Green is about 5 minutes away from the M55 motorway, which joins on to the major M6 road. The only form of public transport to Wrea Green is by bus, and it is serviced by the following routes. Stagecoach 76: use this bus for travel to/from Lytham, St Annes, Kirkham, Moss Side and Preston. Operates on the hour every day.

Football: AFC Fylde were relegated in 2025 and now play soccer in National League North, the sixth tier. They play at Mill Farm Sports Village in Wesham. Club Day procession in Freckleton. Part of the Club Day weekend in June; the first of which is believed to have happened in the mid-19th century.
