Fort Dupont
Fort Dupont is a residential neighborhood located in southeast Washington, D.C., east of the Anacostia River.
It is bounded by East Capitol Street to the north, Fort Dupont Park to the south, Minnesota Avenue to the west, and Fort Chaplin Park to the east and northeast. Fort Dupont has a population of approximately 7,050.

Getting around Fort Dupont the local way
- Get inOK, canoe is not a very practical way to visit Anacostia, but it is by far the most fun.
- Get inThe Anacostia River is easily navigable by canoe, and there are several places to launch: Anacostia Park, Bladensburg Park (in Bladensburg, Maryland), and the public boat ramp at Langston Golf Course in the east of Capitol Hill.
