Eaglesham
Eaglesham is a village in East Renfrewshire, Scotland, situated about 10 miles (16 km) south of Glasgow, 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Newton Mearns and south of Clarkston, and 4 miles (6.4 km) southwest of East Kilbride.
Getting to Eaglesham
Drive from Glasgow on the M77, then take the A726 and then take the third exit at the Belle Craig roundabout onto Glasgow Road.
Worth seeing
- 01The Orry
A 15-acre park running the length of Eaglesham which once had the mill in the middle but now has walking paths.
- 02Picketlaw
Nice reservoir that you can walk around and see the farms, and views over the hills to the south of Eaglesham.
- 03Whitelee
The wind farm has mountain bike trails and a visitor centre.

The heritage trail takes you around the whole village and there are 12 history signs to see as well as seeing the churches and historic buildings.

- Go nextAyr has the birthplace of Robert Burns in Alloway, and Ardrossan has ferries to the charming Isle of Arran.
