Quarter of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, known as Chinatown
Chợ Lớn
Chợ Lớn, usually anglicized as "Cholon" in English sources, is an unofficial quarter of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Historically a city separate from Sài Gòn prior to its urbanization in the 1930s-1950s, the quarter has long been inhabited by Chinese people and is considered the largest Chinatown in the world by area.
