Cavite City
Cavite City, officially the City of Cavite is a component city in the Philippines.
According to the 2024 census, it has a population of 98,673 people.
Getting to Cavite City
Cavite City lies at the western end of Manila-Cavite Road (Route 62); it is 30 minutes from Manila by car.
- 01Sangley Point Airport
Opened in 2020 to passenger service, this airport sits at the site of the Danilo Atienza Air Base and uses its runway, lengthened to accommodate narrow-body jets.
- 02Saint Anthony of Padua Transport
Most trips depart from PITX, but some still continue to Park N' Ride (or "Lawton" in signs) and Santa Cruz in Manila.

Services leave every 30 minutes from PITX.

- 01Thirteen Martyrs Monument
Valentin Street, Lopez Jaena Road, Zulueta Road and P.
- 02Fort San Felipe
Built in 1609, it served as the fortress for the then town of Cavite, but only half of it remains.
- 03Sangley Point
A former United States Navy station that was turned over to the Philippine Navy and Philippine Air Force.
- 04Heroes Arch
A monumental arch that served as the entrance to the Spanish-era Port of Cavite.
- 05Sea wall Samonte Park
The park is located along the coast of Bacoor Bay and offers a stunning view of the sunset.
- 06Ramon Quijano Samonte Park
The main green space in the city, it is contiguous with Plaza Soledad and contains the clock tower, the Ermita, and a small aviary featuring exotic bird species, particularly rare chicken breeds.
Things to do
Cavite City Water Festival (Regada). June 17 and 24. It is a festive and religious celebration of the feast of St. John the Baptist. Regada started in 1996 and features the "Paulan" or "Basayawan", which is a street party where celebrators dance under water sprinklers.
