Beaufort is the name of a noble family of 14th and 15th-century England, descended from John of Gaunt, 1st Duke of Lancaster.

Getting around Beaufort the local way
- Get inIf you are heading to Kuala Penyu (boats to the Pulau Tiga National Park) and Menumbok (for the vehicular ferry to Labuan), the turnoff is just outside Beaufort on the road to Kota Kinabalu.
