Ajegunle
Ajegunle, popularly known as "AJ City" or simply "AJ", is a neighbourhood located in the heart of Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria.
It is located in the Ajeromi-Ifelodun local government area of Lagos. Ajegunle in the Yoruba language means "A place where riches dwells."
Getting to Ajegunle
You can get into this town by bus. There is a local bus terminal in this area. You can get a rented car into this area. Most Uber or Bolt drivers are familiar with this area. It's not advisable to take bike into this area.
Worth seeing
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Maracana Stadium (Ajegunle Maracana Sports Centre), Ajegunle. A sports edifice that hosts 19 football pitch, two tennis courts, two 96 bed hostels, three basketball courts and many more facilities, Maracana Stadium is located in the heart of Ajegunle. It's summer camp is open to teens of 10-16 years of age.

Things to do
December Carnival. Carnivals are held yearly between 24th-31st of December in this town. The carnivals are always lit but you should return home immediately it's getting late because it might get rough.

There are several restaurants located in almost every corner in the town. The food in the local restaurants are cheap but you must be wary of food poisoning.

Getting around Ajegunle the local way
- Get inLarge, open wooden water taxis (locally called "banana boats") ferry commuters continuously.
- Get inMekwe Jetty (near Bonny Camp, Victoria Island): Another very active local passenger hub operating shared speedboats and covered commercial ferries directly to the beach front lines.
- Get inFiki Marina (Falomo, Victoria Island): For a safer, highly comfortable, covered private ferry ride, premium charters leave from under the Falomo Bridge axis.
- Get inFlat round-trip charter rates typically scale higher (ranging from ₦15,000 depending on the vessel group tier).
