Kurnell is a suburb in Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia.

It is 21.4 kilometres (13.3 mi) south of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the Sutherland Shire along the east coast. Kurnell is adjacent to the suburbs of Cronulla, Woolooware and Greenhills Beach. La Perouse is located opposite, on the northern headland of Botany Bay. The Cronulla sand dunes are on the south eastern headland of Botany Bay. The eastern side of the peninsula is part of Botany Bay National Park, and Towra Point Nature Reserve is located on the western side of the suburb. Residents are affectionately known as ‘Kurnellians’.

Things to do
Do the things there are to do in Cronulla and the Royal National Park and then: Dive, Shiprock Point Marine Reserve. Shiprock Point in Dolans Bay has a marine reserve. Some tropical fish can even be seen here in the summer months, when the water is warm in February mainly. You can see many fish varieties snorkelling along the rocks all the way around from Lilli Pilli Point to Shiprock.

Where to eat
There are a selection of places to eat at Cronulla. As with much of Sydney every shopping strip has at least one decent Australian-Thai restaurant, which may not please the gourmet with service nice food at around $15 a main for dinner, with a lunch special usually $7-10. There is no shortage of Indian and Chinese options too.
