Farndon is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It is on the banks of the River Dee, which here forms the England–Wales border. The Welsh village of Holt lies just over the River Dee from Farndon, on the other side of the medieval Farndon Bridge. Farndon is 8 miles (13 km) south of the cathedral city of Chester.
