Chattogram City Corporation is the local government authority responsible for providing civic services and administering the city of Chittagong, the second-largest city in Bangladesh. The government of CCC is elected by popular vote every five years. The corporation is headed by a mayor, who oversees a city council consisting of 55 councillors representing the city's wards. The functions, powers, and responsibilities of the corporation are governed by the provisions of the Local Government Act, 2009.
