Albury is the seat of local government for the council area which also bears the city's name – the City of Albury. It is on the Victoria–New South Wales border.

Where to eat
Deli Bean Cafe, 237 Beechworth Rd, Wodonga. Best coffee in Wodonga. Nice decor and friendly service too. Electra Cafe, Shop 3, 441 Dean St, Albury,. The cafe rather daringly calls itself "halfway between Oxford Street (Sydney) and Brunswick Street (Melbourne)".
